Aston Villa to collaborate with Chinese data service company

The Championship side, Aston Villa, would cooperate with GenGee, a Chinese data service company and the two sides host a strategic cooperation signing ceremony at a recent sports industry forum in Guangdong. 

It is reported that they would explore cooperation in establishment of digitalized youth training systems and developing data services for English and Chinese football markets.

The pair is going to establish a working team soon to introducing GenGee’s big data products and services into the club’s first and other teams at different age groups. With feedbacks about these products and services, they plan to co-create a set of soccer youth training big data platform that is suitable for Europe and sell it in the British and even European markets. 

In addition to this, GenGee would also help Aston Villa FC to develop the youth training market in China.

Overseas marketing director of Aston Villa and personal assistant to the club chairman Tony Xia, Mr He Rongtian said that they had been looking for good-quality technological devices that would be suitable for team training and youth training around the world since the Football Association had high demands for youth training of every club. He said that they were very pleased to initiate the cooperation with GenGee to help with the development of Aston Villa's different age groups and football talents.
