F5WC’s local operator in China raises over RMB10m in A financing round

Five Forces, the local operator in China of the The World Football Fives (F5WC), has announced that it had raised over RMB 10m in its A financing round. According to the company, Fenghou Capital was the leading investor in this round. 

Founded in 2016, Five Forces is a sports company specializing in sport events operations. In the same year, Five Forces became the local operator in China of the F5WC, the World’s largest amateur five-a-side football tournament, which was founded in 2014 by Sport Events International DMCC.

Meanwhile, Five Forces has also captured the rights to broadcast the Laureus World Sports Awardsfor the Chinese market for the next 10 years, as well as getting the 10-year rights to operate the China Top10 Benefitting Laureus Sport for Good, an award ceremony for Chinese athletes. 

After this financing round, the company will take winter sports into account and provide support to these sports in China. Reportedly, ice climbing has become one of Five Forces’ priorities, with the company acquiring the operating rights to the UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup events in China.
