By Nong Ruowen 28 Mar 2018

As reported by the Chinese news website People.cn, the first ever fitness club featuring smart retail stores of HOSA Fitness was officially opened on March 27 in Beijing.

According to the report, customers can purchase any merchandise in that store, ranging from fitness equipment such as treadmills and indoor spin bikes to healthy foods for fitness enthusiasts, using an app developed by HOSA Fitness.

What they need to do is to scan QR codes featured on the merchandise and pay the bill via the app. HOSA Fitness have also promised that they can deliver the merchandise to the buyers home.

People.cn also disclosed that HOSA Fitness will strive to make their fitness clubs “smarter” through for example, customers activating the equipment in the club by using their wearable devices.

Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Hong Kong, Hosa International Group is a leading provider of professional sportswear, especially for fitness and aquatic sports. Additionally, fitness club operations has become one of the company’s priorities.

In 1999, Hosa opened their first club in Beijing and have currently launched other centers in 8 cities around China, setting up approximately 100 clubs in total.

Earlier in March 2018, the International Swimming Federation (FINA) extended a four-year deal with HOSA, which will see the latter continue to support the FINA/CNSG Diving World Series 2018 and the newly renamed FINA/HOSA Marathon Swim World Series 2018.
