The Chinese commercial bank, Industrial Bank, has partnered with the Bundesliga giants, FC Bayern Munich, becoming one of the club’s Chinese regional partners. Industrial Bank organized a signing ceremony in Beijing on March 30 to celebrate the partnership while the two parties jointly advertised the partnership on outdoor LED boards on landmark buildings in five Chinese cities.

At the ceremony, the Industrial Bank launched the FC Bayern Munich themed credit card. This series of credit card includes three levels, the China UnionPay Platinum, Gold Card and Visa Platinum Business. The credit cards feature FC Bayern Munich elements such as the club’s emblem and the club’s red color. Industrial Bank will continue to launch other credit card series, such as the Bayern Munich football stars series and the club mascot “Berni”series.

As a regional partner, Industrial Bank obtains the rights to use the football club’s logo, organize Bayern player appearances , and the rights to organize Alliance Stadium fan visits.

Deputy Head of Industrial Bank, Chen Jinguang, says that it is a milestone for Industrial Bank to partner with the world-famous FC Bayern Munich. The partnership can help promote football development in China and facilitate Sino-German communication under the background of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Industrial Bank Credit Card Center General Manager, Wang Yu, says that “FC Bayern Munich provides a great platform for brand communication; the themed credit card is the first step in this strategic cooperation and we hope that the themed credit card can be a means through which we can provide more services to clients who are into football”.

The two parties will organize a fan party for the top of the table clash between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund on April 7th Beijing time.
