SPORTACCORD ANNOUNCES SIX ADDITIONAL MEDIA PARTNERS FOR GOLD COAST

LAUSANNE, Switzerland – SportAccord is delighted to confirm six additional Media Partners for the 17th edition of SportAccord set to take place from 5 – 10 May 2019 in Gold Coast, where the world’s sporting leaders will gather in Queensland, Australia.

SportAccord brings together international sports federations and top decision-makers from the global sports community. Over 50% of those attending use the World Sport & Business Summit platform to share breaking news, or drive sporting initiatives and key strategies. 

For Queensland, attending SportAccord 2018 in Bangkok helped to secure five new international sporting events for their region. With this in mind, organisations are encouraged to become involved and register as delegates for SportAccord 2019 in Gold Coast before the next price rise in April.

SportAccord media partners provide news coverage in the lead up to, and during the 6-day event, each bringing bespoke contributions, exclusives and exceptional visibility for organisations. News is delivered across multiple media platforms including TV, radio, digital and print.

AFP is considered to be a global leader for sports coverage in English, French, German, Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese - its range of language coverage being a key attribute for SportAccord. Australasian Leisure Management (ALM) magazine and website are the the only business media in the leisure industry in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. ALM is a new media partner for the Gold Coast edition of SportAccord.

Francs Jeux is the first French-speaking international media service dedicated to the world sports community, providing sports leaders worldwide with exclusive daily updates about what is happening in the global industry. Alain Mercier, Editor in Chief will take part in the MediaAccord Conference Debate: Major Event Bidding and Media.

Host City provides the inside track on major event bidding, delivery, venues and legacy. Host City delivers up-to-the-minute news and content online and in print, and provides a platform for major event stakeholders to gather annually, to debate and learn from their peers.

Ministry of Sport (MOS) provides the latest essential news and views for all sporting decision-makers and stakeholders across Australia. MOS is also host to four leading sports conferences annually in Australia, and joins SportAccord as a media partner for the first time this year.

SportBusiness is a global intelligence service providing unique news, analysis, data, consulting and events for key stakeholders involved in sport. SportBusiness keeps executives up-to-date with daily newsletters as well as a review of the best news in its monthly magazine.
