Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic issue mascot commemorative stamps

On January 16, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and 

Paralympic Winter Games in conjunction with China Post jointly issued the first set of commemorative mascot stamps for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, Also on display at the ceremony were the ordinary postage envelopes and postcards bearing the images of the mascots. 

Two commemorative stamps were issued, complete with the names of the official Games mascots, Bing Dwen Dwen and Shuey Rhon Rhon of the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics Games. There are 22 characters of "Beijing 2022" on the white background of the two stamps.

Moreover, the design for the inaugural  set of stamps is ingenious with 22 snowflakes inscribed on the edge of the stamps, further creating a dynamic atmosphere of ice and snow sports which designers interpreted as a symbol of the purity that of ice and snow. In addition, the stamps are printed with two-dimensional bar codes, which can be scanned to learn more  about the stamps. 

China Post says, with the support of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympic Games, it has successively issued the emblem and stamps of the Winter Olympic Games and developed more than 80 related postal products.

As the exclusive supplier of official postal services for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, China Post will provide express mail and comprehensive services for the Games, so as to meet the stamp needs of consumers and philatelists.
