Quanjian may make another investment in a Chinese soccer club

By Yutang Sports 30 Jun 2015

Quanjian Group is reportedly preparing to bid for the acquisition of a Tianjin-based football team which is currently playing in China’s League One.

Yu Hui, the head of Quanjian, showed up at Tianjin Songjiang’s stadium where a China League One match was in progress.

Quanjian, the current title sponsor of Tianjin Teda FC, have decided to withdraw their investment from the Chinese Super League due to conflicts over Sun Ke’s historic transfer.

Because of a disagreement between the boards of Tianjin Teda FC and sponsors Quanjian regarding the 66-millionRMB transfer of Sun Ke, the club refused to register him as a Teda player.

However, according to media reports, there are rumors that the current most expensive footballer in China is set to join Guangzhou R&F on a loan move.

Quanjian Group have recently been heavily linked with other football-related investments, having enquired about the sales price for another CSL team Chongqing Lifan FC.
