Tim Cahill helps Vitaman break into the Chinese market

Tim Cahill holds the Socceroos’ record for the most goals scored. Now Cahill is backing a uniquely Australian business to score goals of the commercial kind in the $20.3 billion men’s skin care market.

On last Thursday he launched Vitaman in Shanghai, one of 65 products in the inaugural exhibition of Australia companies at a new permanent wholesale hub.

Cahill last year invested in Vitaman, a Sydney company which uses native plants like Kakadu plum to make men’s grooming products.

For six months Cahill has been living in China where he plays football for Shanghai Shenhua and has learned first hand how the Chinese covet the purity and originality of Australian products.

“As an Australian company, going into the Chinese market is an enormous opportunity for us,” Cahill said.

“From what I have seen since moving over here in February, I think that the Chinese male consumer is a natural fit for our products.”

“It is very apparent that males here put a lot of effort into their personal appearance and as an all-natural Australian brand, there is a great opportunity for us to make an impact in the market.”
