Australian professional rugby league club Manly Warringah Sea Eagles has announced a partnership deal with ZTE, a leading telecommunication equipment and smartphone manufacturer in China.

Under the deal, ZTE Will serve as the club’s new sleeve partner and official smart phone supplier. Neither the financial terms nor the duration of the deal have been disclosed.

Scott Zhang, Managing Director, ZTE (Australia) said, “We see Manly and ZTE as a perfect match as we look to build on the success of the past nine years for both mobile operators and consumers alike."

Sea Eagles CEO Joe Kelly said, “It's fantastic to have ZTE as the new Sleeve Partner and official smart phone of the Sea Eagles. Smart phones play an increasingly important role in our daily lives and we are excited to help ZTE build their brand across Australia and ultimately drive ZTE smart phone sales.”

ZTE has been partnering with Australian mobile operators for almost a decade. Building upon the successful sponsorships with five NBA team, including Knicks, Rockets, Warriors, Cavaliers and Bulls, the Chinese company will further strengthen its presence in Australia market and reach more consumers via the new partnership.
