C'estbon sponsors Shanghai-based soccer training club

By Pu Yang 09 Nov 2015

China’s water brand C’estbon has reached a sponsorship deal with Shanghai Qiangpu FC, launched by former Chinese soccer player Wu Chengying in June, to develop youth soccer in the country.

The signing ceremony was held in Shanghai last Thursday despite that no terms of the deal were disclosed.

In an effort to help popularize and develop China’s youth soccer, Shanghai Qiangpu FC has teamed with as many as over 30 local schools with objectives to scout and deliver youth talents.

Additionally, the club’s founder Wu revealed they’re planning to promote the club in other areas of Shanghai and also in other parts of China. The former Chinese international also added he would not rule out the possibilities to tie up with two Shanghai-based CSL giants Shanghai Greenland Shenhua FC and Shanghai SIPG FC on training projects in the future.

On the partnership with C’estbon, Wu said more supports from enterprises to youth soccer training organizations would finally help develop the sport in China.

Qiangpu has done a remarkable job in youth trainings and the cooperation would help boost youth soccer and promote mass sports, a delegate of C’estbon commented.
