General Administration of Sport of China, the governing body of sports in the country, has officially approved Shaanxi Province on Wednesday (November 18) as the only candidate bidding for the rights to host the 14th National Games of China in 2021, according to Xinhua.
The announcement marks that the North-western Chinese province, as the only candidate, will be likely to host the leading sports events of China in 2021.
If Shaanxi finally wins the approval to land the competition, it would become the 8th place to hold the National Games, following Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Jiangsu, Shandong, Liaoning and Tinjin.
As reported, Shaanxi Province has bid for the hosting place for 11th and 13rd National Games, which goes to Shandong Province and Tianjin respectively.
The National Games of China, sometimes known as the All China Games, is the premier sports event in China at national level. The event adopted bidding institution since 2001, before when it had been held in turn among Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
