By Pu Yang 23 Nov 2015

Sport8, a Beijing-based company which specialises in soccer education, celebrated its first anniversary yesterday (November 23rd) in Beijing when delegations from various sectors were in attendance.

At the celebration, the company also announced an alliance with around 100 soccer clubs from 47 Chinese cities, calling it the first united front for youth soccer in the country. The aim is to use their online platform to reach more Chinese youngsters who love the sport.

"Over the next eight months, we would like to reach a target of 5 million members and 1.2 million regular users," said Mr. Bai, CEO of Sport8.

Launched last November, Sport8 has attracted nearly 130,000 Chinese customers via its mobile application.

As well as providing professional training to Chinese physical education teachers, Sport8 has also established a partnership with China’s Ministry of Education to help train PE teachers in a large number of schools across the country.

"We would like to reach 3,000 schools by June next year, and this is a big opportunity for us" Bai added.

Sport8 is an online soccer education platform jointly founded by well-known Chinese sports commentator Huang Jianxiang, entrepreneur Bai Qiang and Dutch superstar Wesley Sneijder.
