Le Sports, the sports rights venture, has signed a substantial strategic partnership deal with the government of Haikou. The signing ceremony, which was held last Friday, was attended by local officers and Lei Zhenjian, CEO of the sports company.

The deal will see the two sides seek co-operation on various projects covering events management, cycling sports, youth football training bases, outdoor tourism resources and the Le Sports ecosystem.

In terms of youth training, the sports company plans to set up a top-tier campus base in Haikou, Hainan Province. 

In the near future, about 20 football pitches will be built at the world-class training base. There are also plans to launch an advanced training system to serve football coaches and young players. Most importantly, those qualified local universities and schools will introduce external resources as they establish a training process. 

According to the deal, the two sides will also organize international football camps and events as they attempt to initiate high-profile youth football tournaments within three to five years.
