The Chinese Football Association announced yesterday (December 14) that China League One, the second tier professional soccer league in China, has agreed a partnership deal with South Korean company Team Twelve Ltd.
Under the deal, Team Twelve Ltd. has beat several domestic bidders to become the data provider of China League One. Although the terms of the deal were not disclosed, the length of the partnership is believed to 3-5 years, according to the bidding plan which was released last month by the CFA.
The deal is a first for China League One in securing a data partner through public bidding.
Team Twelve Ltd. is seen by many as an unexpected winner as the likes of Amisco, SodaSoccer, Leida or Champdas, which are based in China, were the favorites.
With the partnership, Team Twelve Ltd. will be authorized to analyze the live data and videos of China League One. The company will also get the commercial rights to relevant analyses reports as well as a one-page advertisement on all match programmes for China League One.
