International media group Eleven Sports Network has expanded its service into China by launching a new OTT platform in Taiwan.
Building on the January 8th launch of its OTT service in Singapore, Eleven Sports Network’s international content will now be available to sports fans in Taiwan, after the broadcaster struck a new deal to get the service up and running.
Network has agreed a multi-year deal to show the International Table Tennis Federation’s World Tour events in Taiwan and will provide live coverage of one of the country’s most popular sports from 2017.
Subscribers in Taiwan will be able to access the network’s two channels, Eleven and Eleven Sports, from NT$199 (€5.50/$6) per month.
Danny Menken, group managing director of Eleven Sports Network, said, “OTT offer us flexible distribution options and we hope to soon showcase both the linear streaming of our robust channels, as well as offering events on an individual pay-per-view basis.”
Eleven Sports Network is a young network with plans to further expand its online streaming service across Asia.
