Liga Adelante side AD Alcorcon FC’s President Ignacio Legido is seeking Chinese partners, according to Spanish newspaper AS.
The report says Senor Legido, on behalf of AD Alcorcon FC, will pay a one-week visit to China’s Beijing and Shanghai where he will meet representatives of Chinese companies that are interested in soccer. Legido and the club are intending to find Chinese sponsors as he has seen the great potential that China has in developing soccer.
“Under the leadership of club owner Roland Duchâtelet, we believe that it is very important to find sponsors in big markets like China. China has great potential in the promotion of soccer, which can help us grow our fan base” said Legido.
SenorLegido also visited the La Liga office in Beijing, which was set up under LFP President Javier Tebas’s expansion plan.
AD Alcorcon is a Spanish soccer team based in Alcorcón, and the club is currently eighth in the Spanish 2nd division.
