China national football team will compete in AFC Asian Cup, the jersey sponsor for the team is also focused by all. Surprisedly, after 30 years’of partnership between Adidas and China team, the biggest competitor of Adidas, Nike, will be the new jersey sponsor.  The men’s team is likely to wear Nike’s shirt in Jan Asian Cup.

According to a source, Nike has reached a 4 year sponsorship deal with Chinese Football Association(CFA).  They didn’t announce publicly as the old deal with Adidas will be ended in the end of December.

According to the source, Adidas wanted to decrease their offer, but CFA didn’t agree. Given the long cooperative relationship between them, the CFA has expected that Adidas would eventually raise its offer, but failed.  Meanwhile, Nike offered a higher endorsement deal leading to the new cooperation.
