Beijing Olympic City Development Association and IDG Group announced today (18th May) that the 2016 World Winter Sports International EXPO will be held at the National Convention Center in Beijing from October 19th to 22nd.

The exposition, the first of its kind, is a high-end display to be organized by the Beijing municipal government with the objective of promoting winter sports and the related industry. So far the EXPO has been recognized and supported by seven international winter sports organizations. The winter exposition will consist of an exhibition, seminars and other activities covering winter sports, winter tourism and youth training.

The Government plans to build the exposition into an international platform for  global communication and resources exchange within five years. To help grow snow and ice sports in China, the World Winter Sports International EXPO will be held in Beijing annually.
