BioSteel , a high-end nutrition brand from North America,  held a press conference in Beijing on 25th May to announce a strategic partnership between themselves, Xingshuo Sports and JD Sports.

Connor McDavid, a Canadian ice hockey player from the National Hockey League (NHL) attended the conference as an image ambassador.

As revealed, in the last year  Xingshuo Sports, the parent company of BioSteel,  has raised tens of millions of yuan in Pre-A financing. This came from the Dingchunde group (Chinese:鼎春德集团)(one of the biggest real estate service institutions in Beijing) and YXCZ Technology（Chinese:优享创智） (the inventor of 5Lmeet, a platform for business startups).

The founder of YXCZ（Chinese:优享创智）, Mao Daqing has a positive outlook on the investment. It is reported that there will be closer co-operation between 5Lmeet and Xingshuo Sports in sporting lifestyles. BioSteel will also launch Off-line Gyms in Shunyi District, Beijng, where a program of 5Lmeet is located.
