By Chen Yaping 03 Aug 2016

According to a report by Marketing Interactive, LeSports HK has officially launched in Hong Kong. The network, in collaboration with over-the-top (OTT) services, has started to deliver several sports channels.

Those channels include a 24 hours sports news channel, a sports variety channel and a Chinese super league channel. These are distributed through its online platforms into homes and smart devices. Its video platforms consist of Le TV, Le TV box, Le TV app, websites and smartphone applications.

The network has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights to air both the Premier League and the FA Cup. It has recently added the US Open Tennis Championships to its channel line-up.

“We are trying to break through the bottleneck of traditional TV broadcasting by combining cutting-edge technologies with sports across a variety of video platforms including websites and smart devices. Hong Kong sports fans will no longer miss any fantastic sports moments,” said Lei Zhenjian, founder and CEO of LeSports.

“On top of receiving international sports news, Hong Kong sports fans are eager to see local sports content,” added Lai Yu-Ching, acting CEO of LeSports HK.
