On 4th December, a 10-year partnership between Alisports and Fédération Internationale de Natation (FINA) was announced in the World Aquatics Gala, “Soirée des Etoiles.”
FINA President, Dr. Julio C. Maglione, expressed his satisfaction with this agreement. He considers Alisports a very important company to help FINA develop its business in China. In his opinion, this cooperation will not only enhance and restructure the organization of the FINA annual Gala, but also definitively improve the visibility and promotion of Aquatics in China.”
In the period of this partnership, Alisports has become the exclusive ecommerce, ticketing, and sports tourism partner of FINA in the Chinese region. In other words, Alisports has taken the opportunity to be associated with high quality Aquatics and connected with open water and high diving events. In addition, Alisports has identified the need to establish and undertake high quality youth training and training of coaches as well as building and upgrading training facilities and venues. It hopes that its contribution can promote more aquatic athletes for FINA.
Alisports’ CEO, Zhang Dazhong, considered this Gala was a significant point to realize their targets on sporting events. In July of this year, Alisports established a partnership with Water Cube in Beijing to look into the possibility of exploring aquatic sporting IP or starting a cooperation with FINA. Thus, Alisports has promised that they would use the power of the internet, and spare no effort on global promotion in order to raise the impact of aquatic sports.
Furthermore, in this year’s FINA Gala, aside from awards in the six FINA disciplines, a special award was given to a Chinese athlete – the Alisports 2016 Exceptional Aquatics Performance Award went to famous Chinese diver Chen Ruolin.
