The 2016 China Sports Forum will be held at the National Aquatics Center (Water Cube) on Saturday, January 14. The forum is hosted by CCTV and produced by CCTV 5 with Yutang Sports as the partner.
The forum is a prelude to the annual CCTV Sports Personality of the Year. Having been hosted by CCTV, produced by CCTV 5 and greatly supported by the General Administration of Sport of China and the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio Film and Television, the annual CCTV Sports Personality of the Year will be held for the thirteenth time this year.
Since last year, the host has been organizing the China Sports Forum as an important part of the award itself. This year, as usual, CCTV 5 will discuss the future development of the sports industry with sports celebrities, government officers and investors.
This year’s forum will focus on sports investment and the winter sports industry. Zhang Wei, from the Department of International Cooperation of the National Development and Reform Commission, Jin Fei, the general manager of Bloomage International Culture and Sports, Han Lifeng, the Vice President of Ali Sports and Liao Zhiyu, the CEO of Beijing Kunlun Redstar Hockey Club will be invited to attend the forum.
“Sports will not change, whether the capital is large or small” is the first theme of the forum. Compared with the investment boom of the sports industry in 2015, the capital market was calmer in 2016. Whether the capital market is hot or not, sport will not change. Only sports programs that really solve users’ requirements can survive. To invest in sports is a long term project and long-term returns are what we want.
The winter sports industry in China is in the eye of the storm. In general, the development of winter sports is still relatively weak in China. With the help of many professionals we will take the 2022 Winter Olympic Games as an opportunity to find a proper way for the development of the winter sports industry in China.
Our exploration in the sports industry never stops. At 9 am on January 14, Yutang Sports will meet you at the National Aquatics Center to listen to the elites’ understanding of the Chinese sports industry.
