CMC is the exclusive media rights holder of all 12 sports events of the Asian Football Confederation in mainland China for the period 2017-2020.
In the statement, CMC said that the rights infringement of the new media platforms included live broadcast rights and VOD rights. In the list CMC provided, there are dozens of media platforms involved in this infringement, including PC platforms – Bilibili & YYLive, mobile platforms – Voice of China Weibo account & Sina News, and OTT platforms – MoliseTV & BeeVideo etc.
