New 20,000 m²dry ski resort in Beijing Olympic Forest Park

By Yutang Sports 14 Apr 2017

The management committee of the Beijing Olympic Forest Park announced that an outdoor skating rink and a dry ski slope are being built at the North Park and South Park respectively. Both are expected to open in July.

This dry ski slope is located on the south-west side of the Beijing Olympic Forest Park, covering 20,000 square meters, and is the biggest dry ski slope in an Asian city. It is divided into five different sections which are the public skiing section, the professional skiing section, the off-road skiing section, the snow-tubing zone and the integrative service section. Among them, the professional ski runs (about one-third of all the runs in this resort) can be used for summer training by the professionals and the professional sports teams.

This is the biggest professional dry ski slope with the greatest variety of ski runs in China. After it is completed, it could meet the needs of 200,000 – 300,000 skiing fans every year.

The ski slope could almost meet multiple training projects’ demands since it is big enough and is well equipped. The Chinese national teams will also carry out periodical trainings here.
