By Nong Ruowen 19 Sep 2017

Lander Sports has announced in a statement that their subsidiary company, Tonglu Lander, had won the bid for the rights to use two pieces of state-owned land in Tonglu, Zhejiang Province.

This bidding reportedly cost RMB 192.4 million (US$29.2m) and will allow Lander sports to build their Lander Tonglu International Soccer Town on the new property.

According to the statement, one part of the land covers an area of 91,765 square meters, of which the usage rights cost Lander RMB 156 million (US$23.7), while the other covering 80,565 square meter cost them RMB 36.4 million (US$5.5m).

Reportedly, Lander Sports has the rights to construct commercial and residential buildings on the former land. But the latter can only be used for building sports facilities.

However, the two parts will jointly serve towards Lander Sports’ soccer town project. The soccer town is expected to cost RMB 2 billion (US$303.5m) in total for its construction and will include a stadium, a multi-purpose gymnasium and a comprehensive training center.

After completion, this town will become the training center for Zhejiang Lander Women’s Football Club, Zhejiang Women’s Ice Hockey Club and Zhejiang Women’s Curling Club. Meanwhile, events of football, ice hockey and curling with different level (international, national or provincial) will also be staged in this town.
