Jiangsu Province to offer coupons to local skiing enthusiasts

By Nong Ruowen 27 Feb 2018

China Sports Daily has reported that the Provincial Sports Bureau of Jiangsu, China UnionPay and Zhangjiakou, one of the host cities of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, have reached a partnership to subsidize local skiing enthusiasts in Jiangsu Province.

Reportedly, to get these coupons, skiing enthusiasts in Jiangsu need to download an App called PrizExpress and register an account using their mobile phone numbers.

Once registered on these Apps, residents can retrieve their coupons when they pay their bills, using China UnionPay cards in certain ski resorts and equipment shops in Zhangjiakou. These coupons can be redeemed by residents in certain restaurants and hotels and through ski equipment rental stores in some certain ski resorts.

Additionally, the Jiangsu-headquartered company China United Travel has also launched travel packages for Jiangsu residents to go skiing and sightseeing in Zhangjiakou as well as providing a RMB5m subsidy.

Jiangsu residents can receive this subsidy by using the PrizExpress App to scan a certain QR Code offered by China United Travel and each resident will receive a coupon worth RMB 100. This type of coupon can then be used in major ski resorts and some stores in Chongli District, Zhangjiakou.

Prior to this, the Provincial Sports Bureau of Jiangsu had announced on Jan 4, that the bureau would provide residents in the province with coupons for certain sports stadiums and venues. The total value of these coupons will amount to RMB 50m in 2018 with China UnionPay cards and the PrizExpress App are also involved in this project.
