Evergrande Football School (EFS) is planning to recruit 700 students aged 9 to 12 years old for its 2018 program, according to its latest admission announcement released on April 16.
In March, two graduates of the school were selected in the first teams of professional football clubs, with the 17-year-old Tan Kaiyuan entering the Guangzhou Evergrande FC. Later in April, three age groups of the school were included in the list of intensive training teams launched by the Chinese Football Association (CFA).
In October 2014, the EFS announced the establishment of its Spain Campus, which enabled the school to select students in China for overseas training in Spain. According to the new plan, the school is expected to expand its business by setting up branches in Germany and France for the next three years.
The Chinese real estate company, Evergrande Group has invested in the Evergrande Football School, located in Qingyuan of Guangdong Province. It is a full-time boarding primary and secondary football school in Southern China. The school has invited Spanish Real Madrid Foundation and SOXNA coaches for the professional football training in China.
