BANGKOK, Thailand – SportAccord 2018 would like to thank its Partner, Supporters and Exhibitors for their outstanding contributions towards making the 16th edition of the World Sport & Business Summit one of the most exciting on record. Attended by delegates represented at the highest levels, SportAccord was honoured to receive the Minister of Tourism and Sport of Thailand, Mr Weerasak Kowsurat, throughout the 6-day event.
Budapest was this year’s Global Partner and the city will become next year’s European Capital of Sport.
SportAccord 2018 Gold Partners included: Chungcheongbuk-do Province, Republic of Korea - home to the largest ‘National Training Centre’ for over 1100 athletes representing 35 events. FITEQ the International Federation for Teqball where football is played over a multiple award-winning table, enjoyed by many of the delegates at this year’s SportAccord in Bangkok. Malaysia Major Events who shared new developments and the virtues of staging major events in the region. Sport Event Denmark, last year’s Host City co-host and a partner since the inaugural event in 2003. Sports Bureau of Macao SAR Government responsible for the implementation of sport policies and encouraging sports development.
Silver Partners included Edmonton Events as well as EventScotland – where both regions continue to receive outstanding success as major event hosts.
Bronze Partners at this year’s SportAccord Summit included: Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance, FIBA, Finnish Olympic Committee, Singapore Sports Hub, Visit Victoria.
Official Delivery Partners comprised: Qatar Airways (Airline), Penceo (Digital Communications), Host City (Event Development), DB Schenker (Logistics), Gerflor (Flooring).
Principal Media Partners at this year’s SportAccord 2018 included: Sportcal, SportsPro and Yutang Sports; and Media Partners Anadolu Agency, Francs Jeux, iSportconnect, SportAkademReklama, SportBusiness Group and Sports Features; who help to deliver news and content in multiple formats to more than 190 countries in 40 languages.

Always a big draw at SportAccord, this year’s exhibition line-up saw more than 25 international sports federations as well as national federations take part, organising bodies, 40+ cities and regions, as well as organisations representing the financial, construction, hospitality, government and education sectors to name a few.
