On May 13, the German sportswear brand Adidas named Chinese sprinter Xie Zhenye as one of the brand’s ambassadors.
As his first show in the Adidas family, Xie attended the AR runner community activity endorsed by the brand in Shanghai, acting as a professional “coach” guiding runners in speed and strength training.
At the same time, a 4x100m relay race was held between six running teams, with the champion winning by a narrow margin.
As Xie said, “It’s really my honour to join the Adidas family, and I hope we can create the speed ofChina in the future!”
Brian Cupps, Senior Director of Sports Marketing at Adidas said Xie’s creation and personality are what the brand really appreciates. He hopes that as a professional runner, Xie’s participation can bring more joy and passion to their AR runner community, which will help people develop a healthy lifestyle in a social-friendly environment.
Xie, born in 1993, is a track and field sprint athlete who competes in the men’s 200m events. He is the Chinese record holder for the 200m outdoor event and also represented China at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
