P&G brand Safeguard and Chinese retail giant CR Vanguard invited the Brazilian football legend, the 1999 FIFA World Player of the Year, Rivaldo Vitor Borba Ferreira, to appear at a launch ceremony for a children’s football project organized by the two brands. The launch ceremony took place at a Vanguard store in Shenzhen on Saturday June 16.
Safeguard and CR Vanguard launched the children’s football project in order to enable more children in underdeveloped areas in China to be able to play football and receive football training.
At the ceremony, Rivaldo demonstrated his football skills, participated in interactive activities with consumers and played in a friendly game with representatives from Safeguard and Vanguard. Young children played a game with coaching from Rivaldo.
Safeguard marketed their personal cleaning products via this campaign, promoting the benefits of using their products to keep clean and comfortable after perspiring when playing football during the summer.
The activity was also in synergy with the 34th anniversary of the establishment of CR Vanguard supermarkets.
CR Vanguard is a subordinate of CR Group, a state-holding enterprise group and Fortune Global 500 enterprise.
