Various Chinese online media platforms have reported that Sichuan Jiuniu FC has signed a new equipment partner for the upcoming 2019 season, the German sportswear and footwear brand Puma.
According to reports, Puma will design a new shirt for the football club. The new shirt’s design will take the club’s characteristics into consideration, for example, the yellow color which is characteristic of Sichuan Province.
Sichuan Jiuniu FC was recently acquired by UBTECH, City Football Group, and China Sports Capital last week. The football club now plays in the Chinese Football Association Division Two League, the third tier of professional football in China.
If this information proves true, then Sichuan Jiuniu FC would become the only Chinese football club that would have an equipment partnership with Puma.
Puma also sponsors Manchester City, one of the football clubs that were partly acquired by City Football Group.
