Global Sports Week Paris has revealed more details of its first-of-a-kind international programme for 2021.

The forum, which returns for a second edition from February 1st-5th, will incorporate hub events in the future Olympic host cities of Tokyo, Beijing, Dakar, Milan and Los Angeles, connected to a spectacular central base inside the Eiffel Tower.
The international dimension is part of a vision to put “reinvention in action” with a format mixing physical and digital experiences – a direction that anticipates the future ‘hybridisation’ of sports.
While access for delegates will be 100% online, speakers will gather in Paris, Tokyo, Beijing and Dakar. Virtual hub events will replace those previously planned in Milan and Los Angeles owing to local health contexts.

Key supporters include Founding Partner the French Ministry in charge of Sport and Institutional Partner Business France. The City of Paris also returns as an important Institutional Partner as the city looks to promote its commitment to host sustainable Games; and to encourage sport practice, human rights and sustainable development in partnership with international counterparts.
Pierre Rabadan, Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of Sport, Olympic and Paralympic Games, said: “Global Sports Week is an important milestone on the road to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The event offers an opportunity to strengthen our bonds and share our vision with the other future Olympic host cities. The Olympic and Paralympic Games provide a fantastic catalyst for public policy, especially in the areas of social and sustainable development.”
