As preparations continue for the SportAccord Convention 2026, the structure of the Convention week in Baku, Azerbaijan (24–28 May 2026) is beginning to take shape, offering delegates a first look at the event schedule designed to support connection, exchange and discovery throughout the week.
Bringing together leaders from across International Federations, host cities, rights holders and the wider sport ecosystem, the Convention is designed as a carefully curated experience, balancing conference moments with a structured schedule of activities to help delegates make the most of their time in Baku.
A week designed around the delegate experience
Beyond the conference programme, the event schedule plays a central role in shaping the Convention experience. At its core sits the exhibition, a true networking hub and dynamic marketplace for partners, exhibitors and delegates, where informal conversations, commercial exchange and collaboration come together throughout the day. Alongside this, the week also brings together official meetings between International Federations and senior stakeholders, creating space for strategic dialogue across sport and business.
From early-morning movement activities to informal networking moments and evening social gatherings, the week is designed to flow naturally, creating space for conversation and collaboration throughout the day.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to discover the host city through curated experiences, including visits to architectural landmarks such as the Heydar Aliyev Center, guided walks through Baku’s historic Old City, and cultural moments showcasing Azerbaijan’s heritage and hospitality. Exhibition visits and dedicated networking moments are woven into the schedule, ensuring each day offers a balance between professional exchange and shared experience.
Conference programme to follow
At the heart of the Convention sits the conference programme, including Plenary sessions and dedicated SportAccord streams. Full details on sessions and speakers will be announced at a later stage, with a programme set to feature high-level discussions and leading voices from across the global sport ecosystem.
Registration is open for those wishing to take part in the Convention week in Baku and experience the full event schedule alongside the upcoming conference programme.
