The general manager of Chinese Super League (CSL), Liu Weidong, held talks with the deputy CEO of National Football League (NFL)-Mark Voller a couple of days ago in Beijing.
It was reported that CSL and NFL would possibly establish partnership in management and operations. The talk was seen as both an approach by NFL to the Chinese market and an opportunity for CSL to introduce managing and marketing theories from NFL.
Chinese Super League, under the background of Chinese football reform particularly, has attempted to explore its marketing potential since it was born. It is believed that the commercial operating system and sophisticated marketing strategies of NFL will narrow the gap between CSL and its plans.
As Mark Voller stated, NFL is seeking the win-win partnership with CSL and they "are willing to share the experiences in management and operations with Chinese Football League".
In the meanwhile, Voller also invited the heads of CSL to a visit to the NFL in America.
