Former Everton star returned hometown to boost campus football

Former Everton’s star Li Tie announced plans to build 2 football schools in Shenyang China after the resignation as an assistant coach at Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao FC.  

Li Tie returned to hometown Shenyang, the capital city of Liaoning Province, with ambitions to boost the development of campus football there.

Shenyang has just launched a base to incubate football industry on June 27. Li Tie revealed at the scene that he would focus on campus football in Shenyang in the coming years.

Li Tie will majorly concentrate on building football schools with the help from local government and Shenyang University. In addition, he also plans to establish 2 or 3 indoor football stadiums along with 2 football-themed park.

Li has also considered promotional campaigns to boost campus football among local primary schools and middle schools with former teammates from the national team.

But when asked the reason to exit from Guangzhou Evergrande, he declined to give an explanation.
