Sports 8 International, a Beijing-based sports entity, has struck a strategic deal with Cybernaut Investment Group to invest RMB2bn in youth football in China, including a youth-football-related sports development foundation center.

The foundation will be launched to popularize and promote sport among youngsters with some funding provided by the government alongside Cybernaut’s training and financial operations experience together with the project development knowledge being delivered by Sports 8 International.

As a key part of the deal, the sides also plan to launch football-related industry centers in provinces within China.

In addition, each of these sports-related business centers will establish partnerships with globally renowned football clubs in order to make an immediate impact on campus football and develop community football in the future.

As recently reported, Sports 8 International have reached Memorandums of Understandings with well-known clubs such as Liverpool FC, Manchester City FC and Inter Milan.

The brand, co-founded by former CCTV 5 commentator Huang Jianxiang, has partnered with China’s leading sports stadium builder to construct 300 football pitches in schools.
