Chinese state news agency Xinhua recently agreed a partnership with Bundesliga giants FC Bayern Munich’s skipper Phillipe Lahm, which will see the former German international contribute an exclusive monthly column on Xinhua’s official website.
In an opening letter to Chinese audiences, Lahm revealed that he will share his ideas on soccer-related topics with readers in China through both articles and videos to be published on Xinhuanews.net and Weibo.
Besides looking at soccer in general , the 2014 FIFA World Cup winner will also deal with specific issues such as matches, daily training and the teamwork required for club operations. In addition, the 32-years old will share his views on the co-operation between sponsors, players, coaches, club officials and the DFB.
“With this column, I will be able to recall the highlights of my soccer career from when I started playing soccer at Olympiapark 20 years ago, to becoming a professional after joining the FC Bayern Academy, becoming a regular choice for the starting Ⅺ at the club and then being named the skipper of the German international team ”, Lahm noted.
