The Glasgow Celtic Soccer Academy has announced that they have added Shanghai Jinshang Sports & Culture Development Co. to their International Club Partnership Programme, according to a report posted yesterday. Their official website states that this is their first Chinese club partnership.

In recent years, the soccer academy has been expanding its club partnerships internationally. At present, there are over 52 partner clubs in 20 countries that have joined the global Celtic family.

This long-term partnership will see the two sides co-operate in terms of club methodologies, coach education and training camps. 

Shanghai Jinshang is a sports company which aims to boost youth training in China. It has built up an impressive membership of 1,350 players. 

As a partner of the academy, the Shanghai-based company will be able to visit Celtic Park, the home of Celtic Football Club and have their coaches attend the annual International Coaches Convention in Glasgow.
