Yisheng Jinfu, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chinese giant HNA Tourism, has signed a partnership deal with the Chinese Olympic Committee (COC). The one-year deal will see Yisheng, as an authorized ticket reseller, to help COC provide ticketing and hospitality services for 2016 Rio Olympics.
Under the partnership rules, Yisheng has agreed to co-operate with other three HNA subsidiaries Caissa Touristic, Caissa Sport and Grand China Express.
About 7.5 million tickets for the Rio Olympics will be put on sale across the world, with more than a half being priced at 70 Brazilian reais (about $22) or less.
Tickets for the Rio 2016 Olympics went on sale to Chinese residents on Tuesday via the official web portal - http://rio2016.caissa.com.cn/. As Chen Xiaobing, president of Caissa Touristic, said, different packages are available as of now, which covers sports event tickets, airline services, hotel stays and featured tours.
Caissa Touristic was once a service provider for 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2012 London Olympics. The company plans to raise over RMB 80 million to expand its sports travel business.
