Shanghai-based shipping maintenance and repair company Sajee Machinery has agreed a partnership deal with German soccer team Hansa Rostock as a sponsor for the 3. Liga club. This is the club’s first-ever sponsorship deal with a Chinese company.
According to Sportspro, quoting from Sponsors.de, the deal initially runs until the end of the current season and is worth in the region of €30,000.
Rostock currently ply their trade in the 3. Liga, the third tier of German soccer. They will offer Sajee an advertising presence on perimeter banners at the Rostock Ostsee Stadium and a hospitality suite at home games, in return for their investment.
The club is based in the city of Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. They emerged as one of the most successful clubs from the former East Germany and played in the Bundesliga for several years.
After being in the Bundesliga for ten years, from 1995 to 2005, Rostock faced a steady decline. In 2012 they were relegated to the 3. Liga for the second time and are now playing there for the fourth consecutive season.
