Ali Sports, the sports unit of China’s leading e-commerce giant Alibaba Group, announced yesterday that it has struck a strategic partnership deal with Shankai Sports, a fast-growing sports company in Beijing.
Under this deal, Ali will acquire exclusive event ticketing resources from Shankai. They aim to provide top-tier event ticketing and travel packages for sport fans.
As stated in news reports, the first stage of their partnership is expected to cover the Olympic Games, the FIFA World Cup and the European Football Championship.
