Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG FC unveiled a list of new soccer school partners at Shanghai Regal International East Asia Hotel on Sunday (27th March).
Under the ‘Infinite Future’ programme, the club named 12 schools and organizations as their partners to promote soccer among school students. The partners are based in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Shanxi, Hubei, and Sichuan provinces. SIPG will invite high-profile figures, including former women's soccer legend Sun Wen, to help train coaches and teachers at these schools.
"Together with the the 11 partners announced last year, the club now has 23 training bases around the country," said Sui Guoyang, club general manager. "Youth players are the key to a club's long-term development."
"'Infinite Future' aims to build up the club's youth player supply system, so that we can produce our own star players in the future," Sui continued.
