Manchester City FC has just signed a partnership deal with PAK Corporation, a major supplier of lighting products in China.
As the first partner of the club in China, PAK is looking to provide support for the upcoming marketing campaign and fan engagement activities, for example, City’s China Tour this summer. In addition to this, the pair will have further co-operation in term of public relations, behind-the-scene stories and on-field advertising.
As PAK Marketing Director Wang Jun said, “Manchester City is a world famous football club who have an increasing fan base in China. PAK needs an influential, respectable partner, to help us promote our international marketing strategy. Man City is absolutely our best choice.”
Damian Willoughby, VP Director of Partnerships APAC at City Football Group, really welcomes this partnership as part of their expansion in China. He said the club is looking forward to future co-operation with PAK.
The news conference held today in Guangzhou was also attended by former Manchester City defender Sun Jihai. As part of his new role as ambassador, Sun will promote the work City are undertaking within the local community and with their partners in China.
PAK have showcased their products at international events including the 2010 Asia Games, 2010 Shanghai World Expo and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The lighting brand was also the title sponsor of Chongqing Aolong during the 2014/15 Chinese Basketball Association season.
