Jia Yueting resigns from all his positions at LeEco and becomes LeSEE’sCEO

On July 6, LeEco, a leading Chinese internet-based company announced in an official statement that their founder Jia Yueting would quit the board and resign from all his positions at the company, including from his CEO position and membership of 5 committees in LeEco. 

Following an official statement released by LeEco on their official WeChat account, Jia will become the worldwide CEO of LeEco’s car brand LeSEE. He will be responsible for raising funds and forming a worldwide management team for LeSEE. Jia will also be in charge of the company’s management and R&D of LeSEE’s products.

Jia also released his personal statement to explain the main reason why he resigned from LeEco, which is to put the FF91 on the market as soon as possible. The FF91 is an electronic car launched in January 2017 anddesigned by Faraday Future, a technology company focused on the development of intelligent electric vehicles and invested in by LeEco. Jia also stated that LeSEE would move on along with the current strategies and dedicate themselves to offering the best products for the public.

In his personal statement, Jia explained to LeEco’s employees, users, clients and investors that he would take full responsibility for the huge challenges what the company is currently experiencing. He also promised that they would pay the money that they owed to financial institutions and  suppliers.
