By Nong Ruowen 22 Sep 2017

September 21: It has been officially announced that Wukesong Arena had obtained a new title sponsor, Cadillac.

Wukesong Arena is an indoor arena situated for the 2008 Summer Olympics basketball preliminaries and finals, after which the arena has been transformed to be available to accommodate sports events such as the NBA China games and the CBA All-star Weekends, as well as entertainment activities like concerts.

Also worth mentioning, is that the arena is the home of the CBA club Beijing Ducks.

Ground was broken on 29 March 2005 and construction was completed on 11 January 2008. The stadium has a capacity of 18,000 and covers an area of 63,000 square metres. The Arena includes modern, flexible ice hockey rink designed and produced by Finnish leading ice hockey rink manufacturer Vepe Oy in November 2016.

According to the arena’s operator Bloomage, the Cadillac Arena will continue to integrate sports, performance and entertainment activities and aim to become an international sports and cultural complex. Alongside the NBA China Games, the NHL China Games 2017 will also be staged in the arena on September 23.
