October 20: Anta, one of the leading sportswear manufacturers in China has announced that its subsidiary company ANKO has established a joint venture company with the Korean outdoor activity brand Kolon Sport, after ANTA acquired the Kolon Sport brand in February 2017.
This new joint venture company will have the exclusive rights to sell and distribute Kolon Sport's products in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Marketing campaigns for Kolon Sport's brand and products will also be conducted by the new company.
Up to now, ANTA have integrated four sports brands into their portfolio, including the Italian brand FILA, the Japanese brand DESCENT, the English brand Sprandi and Kolon Sport. The children's wear brand KingKow was also recently acquired by ANTA in September.
Founded in 1973, Kolon Sport is a provider of outdoor-based activity gear, covering mountaineering, fishing, hunting, outdoor expeditions, camping and hiking.
ANTA was established in 1994 and is headquartered in Jinjiang, Fujian Province. Currently, it is a leading sportswear company in China specializing in the design, development, manufacturing and marketing of sportswear.
