China Football College kicks off its football talent recruitment

Jointly founded by Beijing Sport University and Guoao Group in August, 2017, 中国足球运动学院 (literally translated as China Football College) has started to recruit and select football talent from around China. 

Reportedly, the college plans to recruit 100 boys and 50 girls this year with the candidates being born in the period (2002.1.1-2004.12.31) and have the potential to play football. 

Upon enrolment in the college, the college will waive their tuition fees and offer financial support at football tournaments, with their domestic and overseas training, as well as their insurance. Elite players from low income families will enjoy a subsidiary of RMB 2,000 to 3,000 each month. 

To ensure high quality training and education, the college will also employ top coaches from overseas football clubs, as well as foreign referees, strength and conditioning coaches and psychological experts. 

A new high school will also be established for those players in Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province, with connections to Beijing Sport University helping to safeguard the players’ cultural and academic education at both high-school and university level. 

The college will also set up branches in other countries connecting them with local high schools and universities. Elite players from the college will have the chance to go to these overseas branches and receive further study and training. 

After graduation, players who have attained excellent football skills will have access to the Chinese professional football league. For those players who fail to become professional players, the college will provide an entrance channel for them to enter Beijing Sport University for continue their studies but only if they meet the requirements of the university’s football faculty.
