November 13: After the annual shopping festival in China, Double 11 or Singles Day on November 11, Chinese sportswear brand ANTA have also launched a philanthropic campaign with the first activity called 梦想中心 (literally translated as “Dream Centers”) officially opened at a primary school in Longyan, Fujian Province.
At the opening ceremony, ANTA’s representatives gave sports equipment to disadvantaged pupils from the school. Following which, a sports experience course was also delivered to the pupils, allowing them to receive some basic sports skills and enhance their team spirit.
Reportedly, these Dream Centers were jointly organized by ANTA and Shanghai Adream Foundation, aimed at engaging more Chinese teenagers to participate in sports. These centers are also part of the teenager-focused philanthropic project released by ANTA in July, 2017.
Up to now, over 2,800 Dream Centers have been planned around China. Digital devices such as tablets, projectors and 3D printers, as well as around 1500 books will reportedly be available in each center. This year, ANTA plan to build seven more Dream Centers with relevant partner organizations in Yunnan Province and Fujian Province in the next five months.
Zheng Jie, Executive Board Director for the ANTA brand, disclosed that the philanthropic project would benefit over 10 million teenagers in China in the following ten years.
