Nineteen-year-old Chinese golfer Li Haotong is expecting more wins in the three remaining events of the PGA Tour China Series.

The inaugural PGA Tour China season saw Li claim a win at the Henan Open after three top-10 finishes, including a runner-up position, which puts him in third place in the Order of Merit.

The top five in the money list can earn cards for the Web.com Tour, the second-tier developmental tour to the US PGA Tour.

Another PGA Tour China win would guarantee Li the ­precious chance of playing on the Web.com Tour next year.

Beyond that, Li, who ranks No.310 in world, has his eye on the No.1 spot on the money list. He is 172,412 yuan ($28,103) behind leader Zhang Xinjun, who is not playing in the final three events after receiving a six-month ban from the China Golf Association in September for handing in incorrect score cards.

Outside the PGA China Tour, Li bagged the trophy at the Nanshan Masters in ­October, becoming the youngest winner at a OneAsia Tour event.

In the last two weeks, he also played the European Tour’s BMW Masters and WGC-HSBC Champions in his home city Shanghai, earning $113,600 in prize money.

Li tied in 43rd place at the Lake Malaren Golf Club before tying in 35th place at the Sheshan International Golf Club, which featured 40 of the top 50 golfers in the world playing at a World Golf Championship event.

Another Chinese Golfer,Dou Zecheng, a 17-year-old Chinese talent, got his first taste of world-class tournament since turning professional recently when he teed off at the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai yesterday.

The Liaoning Province native, who gained a wildcard entry, is among six Chinese golfers at this year’s tournament being played at Sheshan Golf Club. Veteran Zhang Lianwei also has a wildcard, with Liang Wenchong, Li Haotong, Hu Mu and Wu Ashun completing the Chinese contingent.

Dou represented China at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing in August and the 2014 Asian Games in South Korea the following month.

Dou is one of China’s prodigies who has been involved in the China Young Golfer Development Plan for years. The plan is jointly promoted by the China Golf Association and title sponsor HSBC.Having turned professional, Dou has named his father as his agent.
