Li Ning, the founder of sportswear brand Li-Ning and the CEO of Viva China Holdings Limited, has recently paid a visit to Kunming of Yunnan Province.
Shenzhen Viva Sports Company has signed an agreement with CCCC Yunan Investment Company and Kunming Urban Investment Company, which will see the three parties build a Li Ning Sports Park at Wujiaba of Kunming.
As Li said, Viva China will work together with the two partners to report to the local government. While making use of local resources and Viva’s expertise in sports operations, the company has plans to make an ecological sports platform for urban citizens in China.
As of now, Viva China has set up sports parks in Nanning, Yangzhou and Nanyang and sports towns in Suzhou and Liuzhou. The company has also signed similar deals with local firms in Yulin, Zhuzhou, Hangzhou and Nantong.
In January, Viva China also reached a strategic cooperation agreement with Feyenoord Rotterdam, the Dutch Eredivisie champion 2016-2017, which will see the two sides launch the "Feyenoord Viva Football Academy" across China and complement the development of Viva China’s Li Ning Sports Parks, sports towns and sports community projects.
